and Designated Castle/s/Race Track Supervisor Rules.
Agreement Terminology in this agreement:
“You” “Your” or “The Hirer”: Refers to the individual or entity responsible for the completion and confirmation of any booking package/s that is located at the specified delivery and set-up address given on the booking form.
“Us” “We” “Our” “SSPMK” or “Simply Soft Play MK”: Refers to the equipment supplier, responsible for providing the equipment hire as requested, and any other services as may be outlined in the booking agreement.
Booking & Cancellation
To check the availability of your desired date and equipment required, contact us via telephone, email, or utilise the booking enquiry form on our website.
When completing the booking form on our website, ensure you select the appropriate hire option/s as required.
All bookings will be confirmed by Simply Soft Play MK by telephone or email upon the receipt of a completed Booking Form.
A deposit (as set out below) is required to secure the desired booking upon the agreed confirmation of a hire booking from us, which is refundable upon equipment being collected undamaged and in a re-usable condition. A deposit receipt email will be provided. This deposit will be returned (by the same payment method) once the hire is over, and the equipment has been collected and checked as undamaged and un-soiled. Any booking confirmation will be by telephone or email from us, and the booking deposit is then payable immediately to secure the agreed date and time.
Our inflatable hire deposit rates are set out as below:
For a single Large or single small Bouncy Castle a £25.00 deposit is required for each.
For the inflatable Race Track & Didi Cars, a £25.00 deposit is required.
Failure to pay the required deposit on time after an agreed booking confirmation by us will leave the chosen date and time as available and vacant for hire.
Child safety is of paramount importance when hiring and using any bouncy castle, and we strictly follow government HSE guidelines and regulations. We must ensure safe, fun, and incident free use.
Inflatable Hire Rules
There are NO exceptions to the following hire rules 1-15 below. All hirers contractually agree to these SSPMK (and as published) Terms & Conditions of hire, and as set out in rules 1-15 below, therefore any damage to the castle/s, race track, and/or injury caused due to the failure to follow these usage rules (other than any unforeseen equipment failure) will result in forfeit of deposit paid, and may also incur additional and possibly expensive repair or cleaning charges. The bouncy castles are PIPA tested and are tested & registered each year to conform to British Standard BS EN 14960.
Any bouncy castle and/or the inflatable race track MUST be set up on a flat, dry lawn of adequate size (and to enable secure stake down pegs), and be free from any sharp objects, stones, slabs, or thorns, if set up outside during the summer months.
1. The bouncy castles and inflatable race track MUST always be supervised by a responsible adult when inflated and in use. A designated adult supervisor (over 18) who must not be intoxicated and always present to supervise.
2. Inflating/deflating can only be conducted by an SSPMK member of staff except in (15) below for obvious health and safety reasons.
3. No glasses, jewellery, food, drink, sweets, face paints, silly string, confetti, or chewing/bubble gum is allowed on any bouncy castle, or the race track inflatable, or on any of the didi cars used within.
4. No child or adult over 14 stone (88.9kg) are allowed to use the large bouncy castle at any time.
5. No child or adult over 10 stone (63.5kg) are allowed to use the didi car race track at any time.
6. The inflatable race track & didi cars are for indoor venue use only during winter months.
7. No climbing on or laying on internal castle walls, or side slide covers, or the inflatable race track walls/arch, and no somersaults or play fighting is allowed on any bouncy castle.
8. No shoes, sweets, drinks, pens, paint, party poppers, aerosol streamers, water, & water guns, stickers, badges, plastic toys, any sharp objects (and/or in pockets), glasses, or loose jewellery are allowed on any of the equipment.
9. A maximum of 10 small children, 8 larger children at any one time on the large castle. No mixing of child sizes.
9a. A maximum of 6 children & Didi Cars are allowed on the race track at any one time. No other cars/toys may be used on the track to avoid potential damage.
10. Absolutely no children allowed near the rear inflating blower unit, blower air filling tube, electrical power point/s and sockets, (or petrol generator if one is installed). In case of any power failure, breakdown, resulting in a castle to accidently deflate, please call SSPMK on 07871 070906 and DO NOT allow anyone to use, or be on or near, any of the equipment during a deflation.
11. SSPMK will check wind levels before inflating, and remotely during hire, and if deemed too high (24mph or over), another date will be offered or a full/partial refund given depending on length of any prior hire usage. Please randomly check all the support pegs and/or straps always remain firm and secure during the hire if the bouncy castle/s & race track is secured outside.
12. Should any injury within, or on, a castle or the Race Track be deemed as serious, DO NOT deflate/turn off the bouncy castle or race track and call for medical assistance immediately.
13. Anybody who is pregnant, or with any back, or limb injury should not be on the castle or use the race track at any time.
14. Under NO circumstances should any bouncy castle/s, Race Track, or any of the associated equipment be re-positioned. SSPMK will agree the set-up position with the hirer beforehand.
15. ONLY if rain or high wind should unexpectedly occur during outside hire use can the equipment be turned off and then back on (if safe to do so) and power must be disconnected allowing the castle and/or race track to deflate in position. Do not allow anyone to be in or on the inflatable equipment during the inflation or deflation process as this can be EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. Please leave the castle and/or race track deflated and disconnected in place should any unexpected rain or high winds persist.
Health & Safety
It is the responsibility of the person hiring our home hire, or venue hire, to ensure safety, and to avoid injury. Please note and adhere to our Safety usage Instructions as listed in to 1-15 above.
Should a bouncy castle deflate due to any unexpected power outage, please ensure the castle and/or race track is safely vacated immediately.
The small bouncy castle has a general age limit of 6 years old, and the large castle age limit of 16 years old. Only responsible supervising adults may use either castle and/or race track. Please ensure that no one over 6 years old (small castle) 16 years old (large castle) uses the equipment unless an adult supervisor is required and present.
Please maintain the cleanliness of our equipment such as grass, muddy feet, food, face paints, etc. If cleaning is required before the next hire, extra charges may apply.
Please remove shoes, glasses, jewellery, badges before using the Soft Play equipment.
No smoking or vaping near or on the Soft Play equipment at any time.
A responsible adult (over 18 years old) must always be in supervision. Simply Soft Play MK accepts no liability for accidents or injuries during the equipment hire, and we recommend obtaining personal insurance cover for the day of hire.
Limit the number of users (or rotate use) according to the age and size of children using the equipment.
Children must NOT engage in aggressive or harmful behaviour.
Please DO NOT allow any pets or sharp instruments near or on the Play equipment.
Ensure a clear area of 6 feet (2 meters) around a bouncy castle exit slide for safety.
General
In the event of any damaged or soiled equipment (photographs will be taken for evidence), the deposit paid becomes non-refundable, and any repair or cleaning cost exceeding the deposit amount paid will also be payable and invoiced separately. Please notify Simply Soft Play MK immediately if any issues occur during the Hire. Simply Soft Play MK staff will assess the issue and agree on appropriate action with the Hirer.
An itemised invoice may be sent after the hire if repair or cleaning costs exceed the deposit amount. Any loss or replacement costs will be additionally charged to the Hirer.
Full payment is due seven days before the confirmed Hire date and a payment invoice will be provided in addition to the deposit invoice. Payment can be made by direct bank transfer, or by using a Debit/Credit Card.
In the event of any cancellation 7 days or less before the hire date the deposit is forfeited as it is non-refundable. If 14 days or more cancellation notice is given, the deposit can either be transferred for re-booking on another day (subject to availability), or refunded in full.
Any changes to the booking must be communicated in writing via an email or telephone call, and agreed upon by Simply Soft Play MK before the Hire commences.
All prices are subject to change at any time, but this excludes any confirmed bookings with deposit paid.
If Simply Soft Play MK cancels the booking (excluding reasons beyond our control), a full refund will be issued.
We cannot guarantee the British weather during outside events, and therefore Hirer’s will be responsible for cleaning/drying any equipment before collection.
Simply Soft Play MK Hire Package prices include equipment hire for up to three hours, (not including our setup and takedown times), unless otherwise specified or agreed by Simply Soft Play MK. Any additional time required will be charged at £10.00 per hour.
Please report any damage caused to any of the equipment as soon as possible, additional repair fees may apply.
The Hirer is responsible for any soiling cleaning, equipment loss, or damage during the hire period and will be charged accordingly.
Simply Soft Play MK is covered by Public Liability Insurance, and a copy of this insurance certificate is always available upon request.
Disclaimer
Please be aware that all individuals using our equipment do so at their own risk, and this will be the person or organisation listed on the booking form hiring the equipment, and will therefore be responsible and liable for any damage or injury resulting from misuse, reckless use, or failing to adhere to our Health & Safety hire guidelines. These guidelines are established for the safety of all users of the equipment, and it is the sole responsibility of the Hirer who has agreed to, and read these Terms & Conditions of Hire on the booking form, and to ensure the compliance herein.
Our Terms & Conditions are subject to any changes required by law, pricing, or any hire equipment updates required.

Bouncy Castle & Race Track Delivery, Setup, and Collection
a) It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that the site measurements are adequate for the selected hire (11’d x 17’w x 11’h) (large castle example) and that there is sufficient space around the equipment, and at least a minimum of 3’ at the rear for the inflating pump. If adequate space is not available at the venue site for the ordered package/s, the original hire deposit and hire charge/s will still apply, and certain items of the equipment hire package ordered may be reduced, or possibly the entire hire order refused for safety and insurance reasons.
b) Please allocate the following times upon the booked hire date & times: Simply Soft Play MK will deliver your chosen equipment to your venue at least 45 minutes before the event and pick up at least 15 minutes after the event. The Hirer is responsible for preparing access for the equipment collection at the agreed collection time.
c) For any outside setup (summer) bookings, a wind speed monitor may be required on windy days during the bouncy castle/s inflation and use, and must be checked that wind speed does NOT exceed 26mph at every 1/2 an hour intervals. This measurement must be logged on a provided sheet left with the hirer if required. A wind speed monitor will be loaned to the hirer for this logging purpose. This is a Government HSE safety LEGAL requirement to protect the customer, children, & the hirer in case of any unexpected wind hazard. If the weather forecast on the the day of hire predicts wind speed exceeding 26mph, the hire will unfortunately have to be cancelled, and another hire day offered and/or the booking cost & the booking deposit refunded.
ADDITIONAL IMORTANT INFORMATION:
d) Please inform us before booking of ANY parking, access/road restrictions, height restrictions, or if there isn’t parking directly outside the venue. Please if possible arrange for near parking and/or easy access for a LWB van and small trailer. Bouncy castles are bulky and heavy, therefore in doing so it will enable us to be prepared, deliver and set-up on time and not cause any delays or aborted delivery. It is the sole responsibility of the Hirer to ensure easy access to the venue for unloading and loading of bouncy castles and equipment. Any restrictions that become in force after booking such as lack of access or parking, or due to road works must be reported to Simply Soft Play MK before delivery and collection. Simply Soft Play MK only set-up and deliver bouncy castles to ground floor venues as a transport trolly is used.
e) The hire cost includes free delivery to venues within 20 miles of Newport Pagnell. Venues beyond 20 miles will incur an additional 50p per mile delivery fee; please contact us for any additional cost calculation.
f) We will strive to deliver on time, but Simply Soft Play MK will not be held responsible for delays due to circumstances beyond our control, such as traffic or access restriction problems, or adverse weather conditions.
g) Should Simply Soft Play MK fail to deliver on the day of the booking for any reason (excluding delivery time delays), a full booking refund will be given.
h) It will be the responsibility of the hirer to ensure someone is present at the delivery and collection location date and time. Failure for Simply Soft Play MK to be able to deliver or collect equipment hired as prior arranged will be additionally charged pro rata until delivered/collected.
i) The bouncy castles are ONLY to be used on a grassy outside space between the May & September months.
j) Please Note: Bouncy castle outdoor hirers must BE AWARE that the castle vinyl covering and safety mats can become very hot in the sun, therefore the bouncy castle and mats hired can possibly become too hot for a child’s safe use and could cause mild burns.
k) The bouncy castle/s MUST be set up on a clean flat grassed area with adequate space around, and clear of any sharp stones or objects.
l) For domestic (home) and any booked venue hire, a standard UK 3 pin 240v power socket must be readily available. SSPMK will supply power extension leads when required.
Multimedia Equipment Hire
All hirers of multimedia equipment agree to obtain, be responsible for, or have in place, their own PRS licence for any public broadcast of copyrighted streamed music. This requirement is not the responsibility of SSPMK.
